A little word of thanks...

East Kilbride Pipe Band spends in the region of £15,000 per annum just to maintain the band and keep it performing.  This expenditure includes uniform, contest busses, practice hall lets as well as piping and drumming consumables.  Periodically we have large one-off expenses to fund, as in 2005 when we needed a full set of new jackets and waistcoats.

Many of the top-grade bands are fortunate enough to have a corporate sponsorship - we are not so lucky to have this luxury and all of the money that the band brings in is simply through all of the hard work and dedication of the players and the committee.  All band members pay a monthly subscription fee and travel to contests and engagements at their own expense - no member gets paid to play for the band.

Whilst we have no official sponsorship, we would like to thank the following companies who have made our task of the day-to-day running of the band that little bit easier and have allowed us to focus on the playing side:
